While uncommon, you may find yourself with a blinking middle LED light indicator on your SkyTrak Launch Monitor. This can be especially problematic, because it will prevent a successful hard reset of the device. This article details solutions should you face this issue.

1. Blinking yellow LED indicator

If you find that your SkyTrak Launch Monitor has a persistently blinking yellow middle LED indicator, it is because it has found your home network, but is unsuccessfully trying to connect with it. This will prevent you from advancing or returning in the connection steps or performing a hard reset.

The solution is to escort your SkyTrak Launch Monitor out of range of the WiFi network it is attempting to connect to. Once out of range, verify that the lights on your SkyTrak Launch Monitor are Red, Red, and Green from top to bottom. You may have to power cycle the device for this to update. Once this state is verified, perform a hard reset and then return to your simulator setup and try again.

Note: The biggest risk factor for the unit entering this state is the security type being set wrong while trying to manually connect to your network. Please ensure that you are activating the drop down menu for security type, and scrolling down until you see the appropriate one.

2. Blinking red LED indicator

A persistently blinking red middle LED indicator on your SkyTrak Launch Monitor indicates that it is stuck in the searching for networks state. This will also prevent a hard reset and reversion or advancement to different connection steps.

This issue will require the SkyTrak Launch Monitor's battery to be drained completely. Unplug the SkyTrak from any devices or power sources and allow it to stay on until all three LED indicators flash red and the device will power itself off. SkyTrak is designed to time out after a short period of inactivity to preserve battery life. Sometimes this issue will prevent that from happening, but please check to be sure that the battery is still draining at regular intervals.

When the battery has been successfully drained, plug the device in. Do NOT turn the device on immediately. Allow it to charge for a short time, unplug the unit, then power it on. Verify that the LED indicators are Red, Red, and Green from top to bottom and perform a hard reset of the device.

Note: While the issue is now fixed, please allow some more time for the SkyTrak Launch Monitor to charge before beginning play, even if it is plugged in.
